What is Kioku?
Section titled “What is Kioku?”A long article read in one sitting is mostly forgotten by the next day. The act of reading is not the act of remembering, and no amount of highlighting closes that gap on its own.
Kioku is a desktop app for learning from what you read. Instead of reading something once and losing it, you mine it: import an article or PDF, read it a little at a time, turn the few parts worth keeping into flashcards, and let an FSRS-6 scheduler decide exactly when to show each one again.
